Shangri La is an exceptional 2016 52' Lagoon sailing catamaran with 3 beautifully decorated queen cabins each with private ensuite baths including electric heads, vanity and separate showers. She boasts multiple areas to sit and relax or sip a cocktail and enjoy the cool trade winds of the beautiful blue Caribbean water! The well-decorated salon will seat all guests in comfort for lounging or dining. The luxurious exterior offers alfresco dining , top deck seating and lounge area in front of helm plus forward lower deck lounge area behind trampolines. With numerous areas to unwind, there is plenty of space for gathering as a group or finding a private place to really relax.

SHANGRI LA spends the season in Antigua. She was delivered by the famous yacht builder Lagoon in 2016. The well-planned yacht layout features 3 generous cabins and easily accommodates a group of 6 guests.
SHANGRI LA is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and that's where most of the meals are served. The fascinating cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. The cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

Captain: TC Carter
Capt. Terry “TC” Carter is a fourth generation Floridian who has spent most of his life on or around the water. While growing up on the sandy shores of St. Petersburg, he developed a deep love for the sea and began feeling the calling of distant shores. After his service in the US Air Force, he moved back to the Sun Coast where he started an entertainment company specializing in providing music for a wide range of audiences. When you couple that with his enjoyment of mixing a delightful libation, it quickly becomes evident he is drawn to ensuring a good time is had by all. His passion for orchestrating a festive experience has melded itself beautifully with his desire to live on the ocean. The consummate professional combined with the quintessential entertainer is certain to leave you wishing for one more day on your Caribbean getaway.
Chef Julia Ray grew up in Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes. She developed a love for boating and sailing on frequent family outings on Lake Huron and the many inland waterways that are abundant in Michigan. Julia was introduced to the Virgin Islands as a child on the first of many annual family vacations more than 30 years ago. Julia learned to cook and entertain while assisting family members during daily meal preparation and by assisting with catering numerous gatherings. Julia has also worked in the restaurant and hospitality industries. She holds degrees in both accounting and social work and although she had a successful career in the corporate world, she left it all behind in 2013 to realize her dream of living in the Virgin Islands. She has since been employed as mate and chef, sailing throughout the islands.
Energetic and personable, Julia loves to meet new people and share her enthusiasm for the islands while ensuring their comfort and safety aboard and in the water. She is certified in first aid, CPR and fire fighting. She spends much of her spare time in the kitchen, preparing and perfecting new recipes for friends and family to sample. Julia delights in spoiling guests with gourmet meals and tempting treats. She prepares a wide variety of meals and remains flexible in her meal planning to ensure the freshest and best quality food is offered to guests. Julia takes much pride in her ability to work with guests to accommodate special diets and food allergies and develop menus that will leave everyone satisfied!

From the moment we stepped on the boat, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We really won the lottery with TC and Julia! All our needs and wants were well attended and it made for a very relaxing week. TC took us to all the Mose beautiful places around the island. Lots of gorgeous views and great snorkeling - truly incredible to see! Julia’s cooking is AH-mazing. I can hardly fit into any of the clothes I brought aboard. We never went hungry or thirsty! Thank you for a memorable week. It was everything we needed and more!

To Captain TC & Julia - Sometimes it’s not about the journey or the destination…but about the people you meet along the way. Six friends came together to escape the stress of life in a truly beautiful place; but we quickly realized that it wasn’t the beauty of the islands or the sea that made this trip so completely amazing. It was both of you!! TC, your concern for our group’s safety and comfort was always always your number one concern! You are an amazing captain and I think we’ll all be laughing at your “character voices” and funny jokes for years to come. You started as our captain and quickly turned into a friend. Julia, Julia, Julia…your cooking is out of this world! Absolutely everything you made us was something you’d expect at a 5-Star restaurant. Well what a magical week we have had on board Shangri La! We have done our fair share of bareboating and cruising and truly cannot remember a better experience. We got to do all the things we love – sailing, snorkeling, fishing and even got to experience the most incredible sunrise of my life. The food was delicious, fresh, well prepared, homemade seasonings and nerves and made with love by our chef Julia. TC was the consummate host - attentive, warm focused on providing a perfect day! Most importantly we laughed and laughed and laughed. We have made new friends with Julia and TC… And will be back to try and replicate this magical week. We leave refreshed and with our souls a little lighter than when we arrived.

It is hard to find the right collection of words to describe our stay on Shangri La. It has truly been an unforgettable experience that will go down as the best vacation I’ve ever been on. Beautiful scenery, ample family time, peak relaxation, unbelievable food, laughs, new friends… the list goes on. The Crew, Capt TC and Chef Julia were fabulous, very friendly and welcoming. Both of them were very knowledgeable in their areas. We had an issue with the generator and it was handled well. The crew quickly devised an alternate plan to keep us entertained during the repair. I felt the the quality of the accommodations and food were wonderful. The Shangri La is beautiful and very comfortable and Julia’s food and presentation were fabulous. Both Capt TC and Chef Julia were very professional, but also very approachable and friendly. I felt very comfortable and confident with both of them. Since I was lucky enough to be a guest on the cruise I can not comment on the value of the cost of the trip. I do feel very lucky to have been included in Cathy’s birthday celebration though 😁. I don’t think I can say enough about Chef Julia’s cuisine. It was not only delicious, but absolutely beautifully presented. She worked tirelessly and everything she did was wonderful. Coming from the snowy Midwest it would not take much of a change of climate to make me happy, but the beautiful Virgin Islands never fail to impress with it’s beauty. I think everyone was happy with the water sport options on the boat. Snorkeling was very popular. The floating pad was used and the paddle board was tried. Overall it was a great experience.

The entire trip was such a gift. TC was so entertaining and yet very in tune with his duties on the boat. She is an artist in the kitchen, but also helped with the boat without missing a beat. Both of them worked constantly to make us have a fabulous trip. They are both great assets to your company.

Capt TC and Julia altered their planned schedule to allow for our delay and still entertained the group that had arrived on time. I guess my whole family is going to take up this book now and I already wrote one for the family, but decided I needed to write one from just me too. As a busy college student who stares at her computer all day and night as a computer science student, I never really get the chance to unplug. I don’t think I’ve ever read as much as I have this week, and it’s been amazing. I really do love to read, and I just never have the time. Three books in one week is a new record! I can’t say I’m looking forward to the 4 degree weather that awaits me in Boston, but I will forever remember this amazing trip. Thank you for everything.

This little poem sums it up - We all really appreciated the time on Shangri La tp “just be.” I think we didn’t even realize how everyday life crowds out time to sit and think, and watch and observe nature. The sky, the sea and each other. Being able to do all of that while being completely spoiled and taken care of by TC and Julia was truly special and made it an experience we won’t forget. TC immediately made us feel welcome as did Julia (except for on the mat) :-) They both let us know what the basic daily structure would be and other than that, let everyone to choose how to spend their time. The family could all relax and give it up to the expertise all around in captaining the boat, and in offering us one delicious meal or snack after the next. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and will miss you guys when we leave. Thanks for making the week the absolute best!

We can say with great certainty that this is one of the best vacations we have ever had. How nice it was to unplug and enjoy the fresh, warm air as opposed to the single digit temperature we have at home. Both TC and Julia were more them wonderful; TC with his impeccable captaining, dancing, and stories, and Julia with her amazing meals, knowledge of reef life. Wow! What a magical week we have had on the Shangri La! We have done our fair share of bare-boating and cruising and truly cannot remember a better experience. We got to do all of the things we love - sailing, snorkeling, fishing and even got to see the most incredible sunrise of my life. The food was delicious - fresh, well prepared, homemade seasonings and herbs made with love by our boat mama (aka Julia.). TC was the consulate host - attentive, warm, and focused on providing the perfect day. Most importantly, we laughed and laughed and laughed! We have made new friends in Julia and TC…and will be back to try and recreate this magical week. We leave refreshed and with our souls a little lighter than when we arrived.

The trip was great. And the crew (TC & Z) were absolutely amazing. TC really knew his stuff, about the islands, sailing, and the boat, and was super focused on ensuring we were enjoying ourselves! Z's cooking was amazing - she really did a great job exceeding expectations and surprising us with meals everyday, which is not easy given the closed quarters. and they really made us feel comfortable aboard the ship. I would 1 million % charter with this crew again - they were awesome. The boat itself was very clean and did not "feel" 4 years old.

My family and I just spent a great week with TC and Suzanne on Let’s Play Two. In my business, we always hear the complaints, reasonable and unreasonable, but rarely the compliments. It’s always good to find areas for improvement but I also like to know who’s doing a great job. Those people are the lifeblood of our company and they aren’t easy to replace.
Both Suzanne and Terry were fantastic. Boating can look easy but it’s not. They made it seem effortless. Their relaxed demeanor just made everything better but I could tell that no detail was overlooked. My wife has a food allergy, but Suzanne had no trouble working around it. I’ve had great meals in great restaurants but her food was consistently as good and usually better, pretty amazing on a boat.
I think you have something pretty special with those two. We had a great time and look forward to doing it again soon.

hoped that we had not an unachievable bar for excellence. We couldn’t be more happy to say
that our week on Let’s Play Two was way better than we imagined! Not only were TC &

This was our long awaited trip due to cover and it was certainly wort the wait! The boat
was pristine the entire trip. The sailing was amazing and every snorkel spot was better than the
last. Amanda’s food was over the top. Special desserts were loved by all, especially the kids.
They will miss the milkshakes, Shirley temples (Graham), and the treats each night on their
beds. Graham can’t thank you enough for going the extra mile for the fishing rod. We will
treasure our special shells from Brewers. So many fun activities. . . paddle boards, wake board,
party mat, endless stories, history, and great recommendations on lunch spots. Any family
would be lucky to have this amazing experience with you all on this gorgeous boat. This is truly
a trip we will never forget with memories to treasure for a lifetime. We hope one day to sail

Wow! What an amazing trip we had aboard Shangri La! My wife Carolyn semi-surprised
me with this adventure on my 60th birthday with our three boys John, Chris, and Sam. We
sailed, explored the islands, swam, snorkeled, sub-winged but mostly we ate and were treated
like Kings and Queens! Never before have we been spoiled like this. Chef Amanda’s cooking
was to die for. Every meal and every detail was not only delicious, but it was presented with
grace and style. Plus, a warm and friendly smile!
Captain Keith’s hospitality, local knowledge, and expert seamanship was exceptional.
The boat was kept spotless and ran like a top. Keith’s mixology skills weren’t too shabby either.

Our first family boat trip and Wow, it blew away any expectation. Captain Keith and Chef Amanda are incredible. With a vegan and one picky eater, they made sure every meal was catered to each person’s liking. The food is 5 star! Mahi mahi, pad Thai, Caribbean chicken salad and desserts that never stopped! Plenty of activities and Capt. Keith always happy to do anything at any time. He picks the perfect locations and ensures everyone is happy! Daily drinks (especially the painkillers) and afternoon snacks were a hit. Always refreshing and very tasty! Capt. Keith and Amanda never stop moving, never stop caring for our experience. I have decided to call our experience on Shangri La “The Ritz Carlton” of charter boats! Keith
and Amanda are extremely attentive and intuitive to guests. The boat reminded me of being on
a Disney Cruise because of the constant cleaning they do! They keep the boat very organized
and do all the tidying up for you. We will have very special memories from the trip and thank
Keith and Amanda for their kind hospitality!

Kade and I had an amazing adventure on the beautiful Shangri La. Keith and Amanda treated
us like royalty and made sure we had a very custom and uniquely catered experience. We

Just finished an amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon swirls, grits, French toast, and mom’s.

packing.
We had the most amazing trip. So many memories. The most amazing scenery. Celebrating
two milestone birthdays. Incredible food and drink, but the most memorable part of our journey
was our amazing crew, Captain Keith and Chef Amanda, thank you for everything.

Finding the right words to express our thoughts and emotions is going to be tough. We come aboard thinking this would be an awesome vacation but during the course of our journey we discovered 2 people that will live in or hearts forever! You both have such a heart for making people feel comfortable, happy and above all LOVED! You know the perfect route for us to discover these islands. perfect pace, never felt rushed.
