Captain: Hal Barzey

Capt Hal:
Hal hails from the island of Jamaica but moved to the BVI at a very young age. He grew up on the water sailing his entire life with both of his granddad's being yacht captains before him. He has been delighting guests for over 25 years, imparting his infinite wisdom about all things BVI and, most importantly, always making sure the guests have a blast! He graduated from The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and holds his RYA Master sailing license. Gregarious, affable and always able to make guests smile, he is a true gem in the BVI!

Chef Pia:
Pia is a native BVIslander where she has lived all her life. Cooking has been a passion since a young age learning from her very talented mother and grandmother the ways of cheffing. Sailing has long been in her blood as well with several family members being yacht captains allowing her to be out to sea from an early age. Just after school her love of cooking led her to found Pia's Sweets, a confectionary that produced some of the islands most sumptuous treats. After being land locked for many years with the sweet shop the ocean beckoned once more so she decided to bring her extensive cheffing repertoire to BVI island guests. You will love the diversity, presentation, and heartiness of her dishes - not to mention dessert! You will not be disappointed.

Great Trip!!!
We ended the week in White Bay,

I can’t give enough positive feedback for Captain Barzey and Pia. They made us feel like welcome guests to their home.

Blessings for a great day and week!

Captain Hal's Smile
When we met I saw your nice big smile and immediately knew we were in for a wonderful trip. You took care of us and entertained us and made us feel safe the entire vacation.

Thank you for your educational snippets throughout the trip!

I hope you get to see your granddaughter soon and I wish you happiness always!
Donna

Hope our paths cross again soon!
Our group of 8 proved to be no challenge for Tanya even though our group coordinator confirmed only 6 passengers for our charter. Tanya managed to prepare delicious meals for 8 with provisions for 6 every day without ever disappointing us. From airy, velvety scrambled eggs to perfectly crisp bacon and fresh poke bowls to scrumptious sweets — we all wanted to take Tanya home with us. Not only were the meals amazing, they were plated beautifully and not a minute later than when expected. What’s more, she aided the captain in mooring and prepping our group’s trips to land amongst other things, proving she is an expert multitasker. Towards the end our charter when she was done artfully preparing our meals and leaving the galley in pristine conditions, we had an opportunity to engage with her more than we had throughout the trip and confirmed what we already knew: Tanya is a sweet, talented, adventure seeker who loves exploring as much as we do which made it extra special. She is an asset on any vessel. As is the Captain we were fortunate to have: Jacob Albano.

Family Adventure Out Of This World!
Took our family on our 1st charter and it was a blast. Learning to paddleboard (great video's), diving & snorkeling, great fun. There was an underwater snorkeling spot Capt Jake took us to and it was unbelievable. After long days in the ocean we enjoyed evenings in the bean bag chairs watching the sunsets with a well made sun downer. Chef's food was tasty and very well presented with a solid nod to seafood and italian cuisine which we love! Thanks for a fantastic week!

Great 2 weeks on Perpetual Blue
"We just got off Perpetual Blue after a 2 week charter and wow, it was fantastic! Capt Jake knew all of the best diving/snorkeling spots and even helped us learn to sail abit. Chef was amazing, food was outstanding - we are very picky eaters (whole foods kind of people) and he provisioned and prepared at an exceptionally high level. Yacht was great, loved the floating bean bag chairs and the underwater scooters which allowed for extended snorkeling/exploring (they last over an hour :) ) Thanks Capt, Chef & 1st mate, had a great time!"

Fantastic 50th!
Took the whole gang for my husbands 50th birthday party, it was incredible!

We've dreamed of a yachting vacation for years and I finally pulled the trigger, we couldn't be happier.

From the moment we stepped on Perpetual Blue we were amazed at the level of detail Cap Jake and Chef T gave us. Jake was a rock star captain the food was amazing.

Fabulous food, delicious cocktails, water bean bags, sunsets, and finding great spots every day - all made us feel so special!

Many many thanks!
Capt. Jake Albano
I have had Jake as a private captain for my family several times over the past 3 years, and I would highly recommend him for any of your sailing needs. Jake is both very experienced and a true professional. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Fair winds & following seas,

José
Jacob Albano
Jake Albano has crewed on our Tayana 55 "Karina" multiple times. Not only is he an excellent sailor and watchkeeper, he is also well informed on weather and the functioning of all electronics. Jake is always willing to help with projects/repairs that occur during a trip. He is a pleasant addition to any crew and keeps his berth neat and tidy. We would recommend him without reservation.
Thanks,
Anne and Miles Poor
